your poor nas will never reach the maximum speed of 1 Gbps your NAS has no more than 512 MB memory and a marvell kirkwood processor. and the download speed of the place in which I am downloading should be more than the 2 MBytes I am getting. I also tried transfers through the network, If I do a speed test with my laptop it says that my connection is fine, 200 mbps simetrical, but when I download some file from it I don´t get speeds close to that one. The router theorically supports it, the cable is the one provided with the NAS but when I connect my laptop to the same router by cable and try to copy something fro or to the NAS, I don´t get the speed that it is suposed to use, theorically it shoulb be 128 MBytes /s, and I am getting 20 MB or so. How do you recomend to do a real test to check that it is working ate real 1 gbps?. I have a 212p and I suspect that I am not getting the best network speed with it.
